Malaimé Soleil quickly carved out a place within the Quebec alternative rock scene with their first EP titled "Tranquille," independently released in 2020, getting over 60,000 streams on digital platforms. The group participated at the 25th edition of Les Francouvertes. This performance allowed them to be noticed by many venues across the province.
The group self-produced a second EP, "Fumée," consisting of three songs. In 2022, Malaimé Soleil was crowned grand winner of Le Cabaret Festif! de la relève and secured an additional 11 awards.
The track "Coin coin" came to life in May 2022, accompanied by a brilliant music video directed by Alec Lemonde. This song surpassed 100,000 streams in less than a year, showcasing the momentum behind Malaimé Soleil, which led them to perform all across the province, including appearances at the Festif de Baie-St-Paul, Festival Focus, Festival des Montgolfières de St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, and as the opening act for Les Trois Accords at the Fête Nationale de Sherbrooke, Alex Burger & Zouz, among others.
In September 2023, the group released their debut album "Tempête" under the Folivora label. With four sold out release shows, we are unquestionably at the dawn of the rising success that Malaimé Soleil will achieve.
