Stoylov is a dream-pop/indie-rock project led by Montreal singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Nicolas Dubé. With his desire to create a unique experience, Stoylov’s composition transcends boundaries, inviting you to embrace and experience a world of sound like you would a novel or a film. Malvina, set to be released on November 10, 2023 is born from the ethereal musical universes embodied by Miles of Interruptions, Stoylov’s debut album released in May of 2021. Driven by an innate passion for crafting immersive soundscapes, Nicolas devoted countless hours to the meticulous composition of this second record, exploring chord progressions, rhythms, arrangements, tones and atmospheres. Produced by Joe Grass (Patrick Watson, The Barr Brothers) and mixed by Howie Beck (Fiest, Charlotte Day Wilson), Malvina draws inspiration from Portishead’s sensual grooves, Twin Peaks’s surrealism and William Basinsski’s experimental compositions. The perfect combination to transport you into an ethereal world of musical expression where sounds guide you through an inner experience and hopefully helps you find haven from the tumultuous outside world.
