Pop

The Montrealer of Cambodian origins, Visrei (Donavan Nguon), is in constant search of harmony and fulfillment. In his dream pop, he draws from eclectic influences such as Oklou, Yasutaka Nakata and My Bloody Valentine. A pharmacist by profession, he has a natural attraction to the therapeutic effect that music can have. Being closer to one's true self and being present for those around him are his driving forces in writing and composing. His music could echo Jim E Stack, James Ivy, Peter Peter and George Clanton in painting murals of sound layered with synthesizers and powerful rhythms.
