Country, Rock
Alice Tougas, formerly the accordionist of folk outfit Canailles, is striking out on her own. In the last years with the band, she was already toying with solo ideas, but those sketches took real shape when the world hit pause—a moment just right for tales of love gone wrong. Determined to leave her folk roots behind, Alice dove straight into rock, with nods to country, soul, soft rock, and classic rock along the way.
The result is Du love à revendre, ALICE’s (yes, in all caps) debut EP—a record that’s as much a story of voices coming together as it is of a heart that both loves and takes a beating. Filled with groovy, heartfelt tracks that make you want to get up and move, it’s her first step into rock, catching the wind just right. It signals more to come, but above all, it’s about riding the breeze while it’s here—"until the sh*t hits the fan."
