Born in Sherbrooke and raised by a single mother in a turquoise living room with two feet of wallpaper missing, Anaïs Constantin delivers her bittersweet poetry over chill lofi tenor-bass guitar riffs. A fan of hot dogs and underdogs, she celebrates the absurdity of the cosmos and the world’s ability to get by with very little. Somewhere between Courtney Barnett and Beau Dommage, her indie-Québec "Do It Yourself" music runs on a nostalgia for the 2000s and wraps you in the comforting warmth of a roadside diner. For Anaïs, music is an intimate refuge, a grounding force to wander and buzz in the shelter of the surrounding chaos.

On stage, armed with an old drum machine and joined by Frédéric Levac (bass and vocals) and Alex Guimond (synthesizer and vocals), the musician delivers an authentic and unifying performance. Her unpretentious voice, both soft and nonchalant, tells everyday stories with self-deprecating humor and tenderness, speaking plainly with a love for the language and its colorful regionalisms.
