Indie, Pop, Electro

Edouard van Praet has been shaping his universe for three years now. Three years of strange, chimera-like fusion of styles: between tradition and modernity, between smiles and tears. The trash dandy inhales the vapors of rock 'n' roll and exhales them in his own sounds, which could be called jungian indie-pop-punk-electro-rock-paper-scissors alternative or, to put it simply, anti-rock. He explores the diversity of genres while expressing his love for pop melodies.

After two well-received EPs in Belgium, Edouard is preparing his first album, the logical yet bold continuation of his previous experiments ('Doors' in 2021, 'Cycles' in 2022), with a stronger presence of French lyrics. He sees his music as an immense playground where guitars are strummed, synthesizers are manipulated, and microphones are abused. In the end, you get a ballad influenced directly by Tom Waits and Frank Sinatra or a degenerate gabber/trance sound. On stage, Edouard lets loose, and that’s a constant amid his contrasts. Accompanied by his band of anti-rockers, he invites you to drink from the cup and surrender to the trance.
