Inspired by the concept of Batarsité, coined by Réunionese poet and singer Danyèl Waro, Francbâtards takes its name from the diverse origins of its band members: Québec, La Réunion Island, and Mauritius. The varied musical backgrounds of the group members create a fusion of genres ranging from Afrobeat to ska and rap, blending several festive rhythms.
