Kinji00, a new Quebec rap sensation and a 17-year-old rapper from Gatineau, is nothing less than the CEO of Quebec’s independent movement. By his side is his brother lb66, the producer behind their latest mixtape “À la prochaine fois.” Together, they represent the rising wave of Quebec hip-hop’s plug sound, alongside several fellow artists such as Monsi, Monzo, and Trapmat Savior, to name a few. Born in Portugal, Kinji00 first gained recognition on social media, racking up nearly 5 million views on TikTok while boldly chanting that “sa fleur préférée, c'est la fleur de lys”.
