Indie, Rock, Progressive
La Fuite channels human emotion into a delicate, floral-infused brand of alternative rock, weaving progressive soundscapes that draw listeners in. On stage, the band delivers poetic escapism, dystopian rhythms, and fresh sonic textures—inviting the audience into a universal release, a space for groove, reflection, and subtle beauty.
Born from a desire to express and share, La Fuite unites to explore the weight of human experience, uncovering the dreamlike images hidden within. Their music is intricate and sensitive, inspired by the rhythms of waves, the rustle of leaves, and the wind, all deeply connected to the Bas-Laurentian landscape that shapes their artistry.
Since meeting on Rimouski’s cultural scene, Gabriel Dufour-Langlois (guitar, vocals), Médéryc Turgeon Chamelot (bass), Jean-Étienne Joubert (drums), and Olivier Gosselin (piano, synthesizers) have nurtured a creative chemistry across multiple projects, laying the foundation for La Fuite. Moving beyond the improvisational world of jazz, they now present a new, evolving form of rock—fluid, immersive, and distinctly their own.
