Lil Yann, born Yannis Alexandre Ngoua Elenga on April 8, 2002, in Libreville, is an Afro-French singer of Congolese and Gabonese descent. His passion for music began at the age of 11 when he joined a church, learning to play drums and honing his vocal skills. This early training fueled his love for music, and he established himself as an Afro artist with the release of his first mixtape, Uto Love, in 2020.
In early 2021, Lil Yann moved to Canada and quickly gained attention with the music video for his hit "Brotha," which was nominated and won the Best Video award at the Good Vibes Only Awards. His first live performance came in 2022 at the Afrofest Ottawa festival, where he appeared on stage with his dancers and musician Anthony Aka, delivering an unforgettable and explosive performance.
2024 has been a busy year for Lil Yann. He released two music videos, two EPs, and completed a 9-date tour. He also contributed to various artist projects, solidifying his impact in the surrounding music industry.
