One day, without realizing it, Matt Moln discovered writing and the organization of sounds as a legitimate form of expression. From that moment on, creating music that reflected his inner life became the driving force of his existence.

He took flight in 2019 when he won the Trois-Pistoles en Chanson competition in the Singer-Songwriter category. During the winter of 2021, Matt Moln took part in the reality show Star Académie, where in just a few weeks he succeeded in asserting his radical artistic identity. His standout appearance on the show led to the presentation of his song De l’or, written during an elimination challenge, a first in the history of the program. De l’or was later featured on the compilation album Star Académie 2021.

In February 2025, Matt Moln released his debut solo album, Saint-Ours. The record unfolds as a kind of mystical experience, where an encounter with a beast, a nod to Pierre Perrault’s La bête lumineuse, sparks a deep reflection on legacy, identity, and the invisible bonds that connect generations. The album showcases Matt Moln’s signature introspection, intertwined with bold arrangements that move between ethereal softness and bursts of raw energy, giving it a distinctive tone: perpetually tragic, yet always touched with a hint of irony.
