R&B (Rhythm and Blues)
Montrealer of Haitian descent, Naïma Frank is a singer-songwriter who combines alternative R&B, pop sounds and an unclassifiable je ne sais quoi. She is considered a rising artist of a new R&B wave in Quebec.
Armed with a daring vulnerability, this young artist sings of female distress, and its power, with realistic and disarming prose. In 2022, she self-produced her first EP, “Petite fille devient grande”, ranked among the 10 albums that went under the radar according to Radio-Canada. Several titles from her EP (“Tu vas où”, “T’es la reine”, “Lola”) have received the support of musical pillars such as Spotify, SiriusXM, CIBL, Le Canal Auditif and PalmarèsADISQ. Her EP also joined the programming of ICI Première and ICI Musique, and rose to the top of the CHOQ French charts and in the top 50 French albums of CISM. “Petite fille devient grande” was also mentionned in Le Devoir, on RDI and TVA.
In 2023, Naïma Frank multiplies her performances on stage, at Santa Teresa, Vue sur la Relève, Francos de Montréal and ST-ROCH XP. She won 12 prizes at the Vue sur la relève Festival and received the CISM Scholarship from RADAR series, presented by M for Montreal. She also won the CHOQ prize at the Filministe Festival for the best music video with “T’es la reine”.
