Perséide has always drawn from fairy-tale-like imagery and a sense of floating to infuse their psychedelic rock with a retro flavor. While their album Parmi les arbres took us on a psychotropic journey through an initiating forest, the band returns in 2023 with their new album Les couleurs d’été, offering a kaleidoscopic clearing warmed by the sun. Both introspective and radiant, the journey offered by the band—consisting of Louis-Philippe Cantin, Olivier Durand, Daniel Quirion, Samuel Milette, and Adrien Lauture—is eclectic, pulling influences from '60s pop-psych, the acid-folk universe of flower power minstrels, and the hypnotic kosmische of Germany.
