Punk, Rock, Indie

This Montreal supergroup is called PYPY (π π), and their music is a concoction of sinister wah-wah freakouts, sprinkled with distortion and the necromantic screams of co-vocalist Annie-Claude Deschênes. A surreal and trash-futuristic universe created by the quirky minds behind CPC Gangbangs, Red Mass, and Duchess Says. With Super Disco Breaks, reminiscent of the dance-punk sound of legendary 99 Records (ESG/Liquid Liquid) from New York, woven through psychedelic rock anthems. The thunderous pop of their banger "She's Gone" even made its mark in the high fashion world, becoming the soundtrack for Yves Saint Laurent's 2016 fashion show. Now a festival favorite in Europe, PYPY delivers bizarre performances that defy traditional rock norms.
