Régis Niquay is a singer-songwriter and performer, and a member of the Atikamekw Nation. Born in Wemotaci, he has lived for many years in Manawan. A self-taught musician, he learned music through his close relationships and joined the band Pinaskin in the 2000s, releasing his first album, Atkokoc. After a long hiatus, he returned to the spotlight with his second album, Kozak, in 2020, which garnered widespread acclaim upon its release. Generous and collaborative, he has contributed to numerous albums and performances by fellow artists from the Atikamekw and Innu Nations.
