Sylvie Walker is a Fransaskois “prairie-folk” singer-songwriter based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. With a soft and fluid voice, she embodies a world that is both charming and sincere. Her compositions are infused with personal and collective experiences that explore deep themes, such as grief in all its forms. With a delicate touch of humor, she addresses topics sometimes considered taboo, like French-Canadian history and Catholic faith. In 2013, she won the SOCAN Award for Best Song at the Granby International Song Festival (FICG) for her song ‘Ti cœur’. She has just released her first EP “Mon doux seigneur” on February 21, 2025, through the Homestead Records label.
